Our Story
SHINEscapes was founded to provide both outstanding landscaping services and an exceptional customer experience for commercial properties across DFW. Core services include mowing and trimming, planting, irrigation maintenance, property detailing and parking lot services. Our own team of trained landscapers performs the majority of the work – not a third-party or contractor – so we can deliver the oversight, control and quality you expect.
The SHINEscapes team is led by Patrick Matthews, an industry veteran who worked for one of the largest commercial landscape companies in the country. Patrick brings the knowledge he gained and his passion for tirelessly serving clients to SHINEscapes. He’s focused on building a company that hires and trains the best people, leverages technology to improve service and maximize efficiency, and provides consistent and timely performance. He knows if he can accomplish those goals, he will be able to deliver landscaping services and client satisfaction better than the competition.

Fredy Ornelas

Fredy has been in the landscaping industry for 15 years with most of his time spent in the irrigation installation segment.
Fredy spends his personal time with his family at church and sporting events for the kids.
Patrick Matthews

Edgar has been in the landscaping industry for 25 years and has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of maintenance and construction.
Edgar enjoys most weekends at his children’s soccer games with his wife.
Dan Riddle
Vice President, Business Development
Dan Riddle serves as a Vice President of Business Development for SHINEscapes. He is responsible for the growth of the SHINEscapes commercial landscaping business including mowing/trimming, irrigation maintenance, exterior property maintenance and parking lot services. Dan has spent the last 20 years working to develop relationships across the landscaping and property services industries in a variety of senior roles, both in sales and operations. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from DeVry University.

At SHINEscapes, we perform most landscaping services with our own team of professionals. However, there are times when your property may need specialized services. We’ve established a network of leading providers to complete this work, which is overseen by the SHINEscapes team and measured to the same standards as any work we complete. We also work for large, national property management companies who are responsible for properties in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.
For plants, supplies and materials, we do our best to work with and support local businesses based on availability of product. We believe it’s important to support the DFW business community so that we can all be proud of where we call home.
